The portal for requests to city services: a resident files a request, follows it and receives updates. The redesign was run by a team of thirty-plus people. My part was the tracking pages from research through to developer handoff, the decomposition of special instructions with their placement rules, and mapping guerrilla research questions across the stages of the service. The difficulty here is state: a resident has to understand what is happening to their request and why.

The 311 mobile app lets Toronto residents file a request to city services and follow it from their phone. The app was already running when I joined, and it carries its own functionality, distinct from the portal. My part was the tracking page: from research through to developer handoff.

The city's design system, built from scratch as a product rather than a library of mockups. Foundation, tokens, layouts, UI kit, UX patterns, page templates. On top of them, governance: RACI, contribution model, ownership map, escalation model, definitions of ready, done and verified. The delivery pipeline runs from Figma through Storybook into Salesforce, so a component reaches production instead of staying in a mockup. Role: playing coach (two senior designers and an accessibility designer at work), and my own hands in the system.

A B2B recruitment platform: AI interviews with adaptive questions and real-time scoring, candidate evaluation across technical, behavioural and psychological signals, recruiter dashboards. A separate layer handled explainability: a recruiter has to see why the system made a recommendation, otherwise they will not trust it. Zero-to-one in five months through to public launch: the full cycle, plus the product design system and visual identity.

A B2B marketplace for map data aimed at carmakers. A manufacturer chooses which map layers to buy from HERE and builds its own in-car navigation on top of them. Zero-to-one: research, information architecture, user scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, UI, handoff to development.

A navigation product across five platforms (web, iOS, Android, CarPlay, Android Auto) with three navigation modes. The task was to hold one experience where every platform brings its own constraints and its own manufacturer rules. Coordinated six designers on this product.
A component library adopted by around ten product teams across fifteen-plus products. Built from scratch: component architecture, state documentation, a framework for integration with code. The hard part here is organisational: getting teams with different products and different deadlines to use a shared set instead of their own forks.
A tool inside the marketplace that lets a buyer see a data layer before purchase. A map simulator: the buyer switches on layers of telemetry, road events and infrastructure, stacks them, filters and measures, and judges whether the data fits the job. The platform already existed and displayed lists of tiles. My part was extending the product: map rendering instead of lists, multi-layer support where previously only one layer sat over the basemap, large tile rendering, scaling, 3D visualisation, tile freshness, live data streaming, a reworked search, and an interface reorganisation that gave the map more room.
A platform that de-identifies personal data inside geolocation sets: the data is needed for analytics, but must not make an individual identifiable. The brief arrived as a description: which data is processed, and by what steps it is de-identified. A platform for managing consent to use vehicle data under GDPR. Design works with legal material here: the driver has to understand what they are agreeing to, and the company has to be able to prove the consent was collected correctly. A system for updating vehicle software remotely. The difficulty is the cost of a mistake: the update goes to a vehicle, so the interface has to state the status, the progress and the consequence of every action without ambiguity. A B2B tool for monitoring transactions and visualising network nodes. Its users are engineers and auditors who need to follow one transaction through the flow and see the state of the network. A mobile product where drivers and pedestrians report road conditions. The task was to make reporting instant: someone behind the wheel or at a crossing has no time for a form with fields. An ecosystem of sixteen-plus SaaS platforms, four HMIs and one CRM for oilfield services: job planning, real-time monitoring, early kick detection, field development planning. Different teams wrote these products at different times, so the core work was pulling them onto shared logic and shared patterns, so that an engineer does not relearn the interface every time they move between systems. Role: playing coach over ten designers (day-to-day direction of the teams and coordination of the work), alongside my own hands in the design.
An enterprise design system built from scratch as part of Halliburton's digital transformation: component library, patterns, templates, developer guides, ownership rules. The point of the system here is the cost of maintenance: when sixteen platforms share one foundation, a change is made in one place.
Interface maintenance overhead: 18% lower. Method: engineering metrics.

A data annotation platform for Hyundai's autonomous driving programme. An engineer uploads footage from on-board cameras, breaks it into frames and describes every object in the frame: what it is, and how it affects the behaviour of the car. An operational risk and resilience platform for a regulated financial environment: incident management, business continuity, compliance, monitoring. Fifteen disparate legacy regional systems were consolidated into a single multi-brand CRM across several European markets. Each market configures its own space, while transaction control stays centralised across the supply chain. Inside: customer hierarchy, fuel card lifecycle, partner management, financial operations. The work rested on twenty-four personas and journey maps for pricing, invoicing and tax. Separately, a concept for multi-tier interaction between subcontractors and clients along the supply chain.
The design system behind that CRM: components, templates, developer guides. The point is holding one interface where the system is configured for different markets and different brands at the same time.

Trip Arc
Travel
ADX, short for Agent Digital Experience, is a booking platform for travel advisors and agencies. Flights, hotels, cruises, insurance and activities come together into one branded itinerary, and invoicing and commissions are handled in the same place. The product has been running since 2014. My part was new functionality and an interface update, following the standard design process: research, information architecture, user scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, UI, handoff to development. The user here repeats the same operation dozens of times a day, so the design works for the speed of repeated work.

A voice travel assistant built on the OpenAI API: recommendations, itinerary planning, booking, questions and answers. Working against a real API rather than a mock, so the design had to account for a model that answers unpredictably and gets things wrong. Zero-to-one through to MVP.

Upstars is a Ukrainian group of B2B product companies in iGaming. The Arbitrage Platform serves partner traffic acquisition for its products: campaigns, sources, performance analytics. The role here was managerial: full management of two designers: planning, task setting, quality control, one-on-ones, hiring from job description to offer. Built the operating model from scratch: design enters product planning before sprints start, requirements travel from intake through use cases and epics to delivery-ready definitions, and a joint design and development review is mandatory before handoff. No hands of my own in the design here: the value was in making the team predictable.
A marketplace for discovering, booking and managing service interactions between users and service providers, B2B and B2C. The same managerial setup as on the Arbitrage Platform: two designers reporting directly, a shared operating model, a steady rhythm of syncs, critiques and quality reviews. The two products ran in parallel, so the main task was holding one delivery standard across both.
